  615. My spoiler free thoughts on the first 3ish hours of Silent Hill F:

    This goes without saying but it is the best Silent Hill game since 4 by far. I would go as far to say that if they followed the same blueprint, this game could be the RE7 of Silent Hill. They managed to capture the spirit of what the older games wanted to accomplish, but with something completely new and fresh too (I’m not saying every game should be set in Japan or whatever, just saying that this level of creativity and quality needs to be the standard going forward)

    The soundtrack is like a weird mix of guttural sounds and like traditional Shamisen music at points? There’s like throat singing too. Yamaoka fucking cooked boys.

    Visuals are stunning and the enemy designs are really cool. I’m not a massive fan of the sanity mechanic but it’s a cool addition. Combat is repetitive and I despise the weapon degradation, probably will be the only thing keeping it from being a 10/10 if the story keeps being this promising.

    1. I think the combat would be fine if there just wasn't so much of it. Especially in tbis game's version of the otherworld, but I guess you haven't gotten to where it's annoying yet
