  26. Vader, the reason popular shows never end well is because 90% of them were bad before we got there. Stranger Things S1 is genuinely a great season of TV. It has a unique look and atmosphere, good music etc. but once a show gets popular, it tends to lose its ability to keep the stakes high because they refuse to let them kill off popular characters.

    S2-5 of Stranger Things is just a fucking Marvel movie. Same thing with GOT S8. It’s just a loud rollercoaster ride while the other seasons had actual stakes and intrigue and good pacing. GOT was noticeably worse after they ran out of book material.

    But there’s a ton of things to contribute to bad endings. Like most shows not being able to release a season in under 45 years

  156. Calling anything GOT level bad is massive hyperbole. It took GOT from one of the most beloved, ambitious, important cultural touchstones in TV history to being completely irrelevant. Nobody will go back and watch the incredible seasons now.

    Stuff like Stranger Things is just popular with Netflix normies. Nobody with a brain watched that show after S2 was just a Marvel movie. GOT was THE cultural zeitgeist. Pre-S5 of GOT was being talked about as the best show of all time. Stranger Things had 1 good season. The Boys was always edgy bullshit that was carried by an awesome cast and a villain that is the only known instance of “Superman but evil” trope being done interestingly. But for it to be “GOT level bad” it would have to be GOT level good which it was not.

    The actual ending of GOT story wise is not bad, it’s probably the ending GRRM had (obviously characters and stuff is different but the actual story ending was probably what he said the ending was) The reason the ending is bad is because they butcher every single character arc to cram 3 seasons of plot development into 4 episodes.

          1. It’s hard to remake PS1 era games because there is a charm to the original art style. Especially something like FF8 which has a lot of pre-rendered backgrounds.       If you want to really target your neck and have a solid base already though (like, really solid cause it's definitely advanced and pretty dangerous really) you can do like a reverse tabletop but don't use your arms instead just have your feet and the back/top of your head on the ground. Once you have raised your back off the mat then very slowly move your body to either side so that you can feel it stretching the sides of your neck.

            It's an old wrestling exercise (as far as I was taught) and the more upper body muscle you have (therefore more weight + less upper mobility) the more dangerous it is.
